Welcome to the Campaign!

Candidate Statement of Qualifications

I am running for town council because I love where we live and want to maintain the uniqueness that makes us Danville. My experience of resolving issues within the context of the ‘bigger picture’ brings a new voice and different perspective in creating solutions.

My platform focuses on enhancing our quality of life. I will:

  1. Proactively engage San Ramon and county officials on future Tassajara boundaries, which directly impact our town, unincorporated Danville and Blackhawk;
  2. Seek solutions to traffic and downtown parking via stronger relationships among our school district, businesses, planners and council;
  3. Expand activities and meeting places for teens, singles and seniors
  4. Streamline our building permit and planning process for homeowners and builders, while ensuring that appropriate studies, architectural standards, community input and common sense have been applied in decision-making so that new projects (Danville Hotel, Veteran’s Hall) augment our town
  5. Grow Danville’s business community, while balancing downtown events that attract potential new residents - and revenue.

If elected, I want to hear from you. I am new to the political arena, but not to leadership roles. I listen with an open mind and analyze the facts, before reaching a decision. I’m a quick study - and fully committed to the best outcome. With your support, I will implement fiscal policies that continue to enhance our Danville experience. I would truly appreciate your vote and thank you, in advance, for the privilege of representing you.

Bordogna Receives Realtor Award

Local Realtors and Affiliates meet every Thursday morning at the San Ramon Community Center to network, share information on new property listings and general real estate market conditions.   This real estate community is also involved in supporting numerous civic and charitable causes in our area.  At their October 16th meeting, the Realtors’ Marketing Association honored Marianne Bordogna as the Realtor of the quarter.  This award is presented to the greater San Ramon Valley area Realtor who has made a difference in the community.  President Will Doerlich surprised Marianne, as she had been told to be prepared to give an update on the Danville Town Council race!

So much for THAT speech!

The VINE at Bridges hosts “Meet the Candidate” Fundraiser

On Tuesday, Oct. 14th, supporters of “Marianne Bordogna for Danville Town Council” christened Bridges Restaurant’s new wine store, the VINE at Bridges, on Hartz Ave.  From 6:00-8:00PM, the store was “a buzz” as the public was treated to Thomas Halby wines, while meeting Marianne … freely sharing their ideas & opinions on the Town of Danville, in this new, relaxed environment.  What a great venue!

Raylee Medvee, of Danville’s Embroidery for You, is ready to rally the “Dogs of Danville” to get out the vote, while Judy Lloyd looks on in support.

Nancy & David Brookshire, of Magic Moving & Storage, along with Alicia & Tony Gomez, of Direct Sales Floors, enjoy the festive occassion.  The staff at The VINE could not have been more excited - and helpful.

We all remembered not to step over the “imaginery line” between the retail sales portion of the store and the wine tasting bar … one of the issues that was discussed as the night progressed!

Friends & family from the realty industry also turned out to lend their support!  A good time was had by all.
